Funky Friday 12:40pm

It's funky Friday.. Gracie was very irritable when we got here.  Apparntely, they wrapped her a little too warm late last night & her temp was hot this morning. She was awake from 8:00a.m. to just about noon.  We tried holding to her, singing, reading..and she was soo irritable, but I think it was from her body heat got so hot, and then she had a hard time lowering her body heat.  We put her back in the isolette around noon with some tylenol & her heart rate started to increase again.. our nurse wasn't on the floor, and no other nurses came in.  And Daddy was MAD!! 

This is Gracie this morning in the mamaroo!! Gosh, we can't wait til all that fr**n tape is off her face..geesh!

Anyway, long story short, some nurses say things just to 'shut up' Daddy..and for those of you who know Gary-Daddy, he's not accepting that!!  He went right to the unit manager (of course he didn't know she was the unit manager..but I did. wink!); and she came & spoke with us. 

Like every other job, you have people that think they "know" every situation & they want to give you their opinion.. well, that doesn't fly with us.  I am a stay at NICU mom & here 24x7, Dad is a smart man with medical background, and just the experience of being here for 94 days.. we do know what's going on.  So.. we shouldn't have a problem with this nurse anymore..and hopefully she'll learn to keep her opinions to herself.   So, There!! 

Check this out.. A lady that works with Auntie Heather at a school in Fairhaven, made this for Gracie.. soo cute..

It's a purple & white hat!  She will use it soon..her head is too small for it!  Monday is the surgery..I think after the day we're having today.. we really can't wait!! After the surgery, Gracie should be in an open crib up here too!!  Hope Gracie has a more calming & relaxing weekend!!

Kudos to my sister, Lisa.. I hear great things are happening for her in Las Vegas! I can only guess..but thanks for the call, and wishing you the best!
