Gracie is having a great day! Her occupational therapist, Marisa (ot) came in today & she was awake & cooperative. We did a few excercises with her, and it went well. A "manipulative medicine" doctor came in as well, and he did a few things with her..she actually had a d-sat with him..(he looked worried... not as worried as I was seeing her breathing drop to 20's.. but we got her back up to 100).
The doctor did rounds this am, and decided for right now they would leave the NG tube in (empties into her belly) because she's doing okay with it & the NJ tube has to be done downstairs in radiology, and we don't want to stress her out.. so Sorry, Gracie..no road trip for you.. but that's OK! :)
She's only had a few small throw ups..of course one came when I was holding her..so I smell like re-digested formula.. (yum!.NOT!). So, we definitely think the zantac is working! Her nurse today, Lindsey had her Friday & Saturday night, and definitely sees a big difference today with hardly any pukes & d-sats! Maybe she's taking the turn.. gosh I hope so.. Thank God!! :)
I'm heading back to RmCd house in a little while.. hope their internet is working. Last night we had turkey, ham, cheese & all the fixings for sandwiches. I believe the same is for leftover tonight. Just hope there's some good dessert around. :).
Tonight is a good day in NICU!! :) Til tomorrow,
love,
pattie & gary, gracie & forever, Max!
