Grace is 7lbs. 14oz. She is due for another follow up with the pedi on Friday, so we hope to see that weight increase. I think she is starting to feel hungrier, so hopefully between him & the GI specialist in a week or so, we will be able to increase her volume.
Early intervention came to 'assess' her today. She was very sleepy, as she was just waking up..but she did pretty good. After the holidays, we'll be starting with an OT (occupational therapist) & a Speech therapist (basically to help with bottle feedings)
She's definitely keeping her eyes open more & more each day.
And she has Daddy wrapped!! He can't do anything else when he gets home, then to hold her, because "she won't let me put her down"..
I put 'pay it forward' as my title, because as I begin to think of all that has been paid forward to me in this past year, from strangers & long time friends, I remind myself to pay it forward to others. I was in a store tonight & the guy in front of me needed a dollar. I didn't hesitate, I pulled out a dollar and gave it to the cashier for him. He was so grateful, he looked at me like I was a fruitcake (lol), but grateful that I could help him, or actually that I wanted to help him.
I am very grateful that Grace is in our lives.. a year ago, we were mourning the death of our first baby in a miscarriage. This year, we are mourning the death of infant, Maxwell..but we are also PRAISING GOD for the MIRACLE of Grace Lucia!!
Pay It forward this Christmas Season!!
Love,
pattie & gary, Gracie & max
