Cuteness & boys, boys, boys..

Grace is doing GREAT.. with just a little virus she caught from her

school friend on Friday..but by today she's doing much better!

And her gtube is causing some issues, but I think we got all that figured

out as well!!

 

Now on to some cuteness overload:

 

This is Grace's friend, Ben in school.. he absolutely ADORES her!!

Every morning we get to school & he comes over to her..tickles her feet & she

usually wants to sit on the ground (i let her) & he sits near her, then his friend Isiah comes over and another little boy & they all sit around her! It's the cutest thing!

Her teacher sent me this pic via text tonight & I just can't get over it!

Sooo freakin cute!!!! :)

We were playing with a mirror tonight.. Grace had a great day in school

and then a doctor's appointment at 2, so she only got to sleep an hour

and half..she was definitely a little overtired tonight..

but had time to 'kiss' little Grace in the mirror :)

   Grace tried broccoli for the first time last week..
these two pictures are from that experience!

 

Her stats today were 25 lbs. 1 oz & 34 1/2" tall :)

She's drinking about 1 1/2 oz of water via open cup at school..

and eating & swallowing some veggie straws, and new snacks at school.

Night time at dinner..she tries whatever we are eating..

it's definitely slow progress (to us) but she is doing soo well.

 

And she has such a great little personality in school..

honestly, the boys just love her!

It's soo awesome to watch!

Open House-School

Grace's pre-school open house was tonight..

we get so many great updates from her wonderful teacher

already..but we went anyway...

there was a quick slide show of what the children

will be learning & then a board that the children helped draw

their own faces.. soo cute!

we guessed with all her curls, this one was her..

the bottom says, "I like spicy foods & chocolate"

My favorite friends are Aiden (her friend in her class) & Abby :)

I like to play in water.

 And.. her 3rd week of school.. (of course I'm not going to take a pic

weekly..but today she looked extra cute in her tangerine sweater) :)

a cute story from drop off..

I put her down to stand up..and then suddenly she was surrounded by

her 3 little 'boy' friends.. Ben who took her hand & held it,

Isiah who also held her hand..and Cameron who was just standing watching...

the boys were soo gentle with her!!

It was a picture worth a thousand words!

I'm so happy she has such a little outgoing, social personality..

she was smiling from ear to ear!

Isiah's mom is already saying that he talks about her all weekend!

Happy Neonatal Nurse's Day.

We appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and love that

our nurses at MMC, Portland gave to our babies

while we were there..

 

You were really the first ones to love Grace & Max..

School is going GREAT!

Great times at school for Grace.. that her teacher & her

therapists can't believe how far she has come in a week!!!

We are soo proud of her!

 

 

At drop off in the morning, a little boy, Isiah comes up to her

and says hi.. his mom says he 'loves Grace.. he's always talking about her'

Then the teacher tells me that Ben, from another class & Aiden from

her class..are always asking her to play with him!

She's such a social butterfly!!!

 

I got there early today and was sitting in the parking lot..

and witnessed this.. 

it was certainly a GREAT Mommy moment..(after a rough week personally!)

 

I was pretty far.. but there's Grace in her walker.. coming outside

 

soo cute!!

 

 

  After saving pampers codes for 3 years.. here's the big stuff.. a water table! And Grace fits in it.. I think tomorrow will put some

water in it & put her in so she can splash & have fun... she LOVES water..

And starting a 2nd session of swim on Saturday!

 

 

 

It's been a good week with school..

they have taken her stander & pulled it apart.. she's standing 30 min

in it unassisted.. she's doing great!

Wednesday night visitor..

For those wondering how awesome Grace is doing in school..

well she is doing AWESOME!

We honestly are so proud of her!!

I am sure all parents of their children.. are proud of them..

but I can only explain that having a micro preemie, whom we almost 'lost' at any second from the moment she was born, then a near death in 2012..

I can only say that I am beaming! She is going do to great things in her life!!!

She is soo awesome!!

 

(Okay, enough mush!!) :)

 

Last night, Wednesday.. I was making dinner (worked late & all),

Grace was a little cranky (hey, school is a big deal & tiring)..so Gary took her out for a walk.. I'm in a tshirt (hey, it's hot in our house)..the doorbell rings..

I look out the window, yell "just a minute"..and have to go put some

decent clothes on! (lol)

 

It's Grace's pre-school teacher!!!!

She had to run over to show us a video she captured on her

phone of Grace 'running' in her walker to see one of the teacher aides.

It was awesome!  The teacher was so proud of her... we talked about how well she

was doing, how well of a child she is to work with..great with re-direct,

she's funny, she's eating snack (& most importantly swallowing)..

she loves circle time & has been flipping the book pages to read along.

Loves the music & clapping!

 

What a nice visit! Some may say that Grace is too young to be in school..

3 years old! But this is the best decision for her at this time.

And I dropped her off with no tears! (not sure Dada will be able to drop offs)

First day of Pre-school '14-'15

Grace is in Pre-school!!

What a fabolous day for her & us.. we are soo proud of our 1 pounder!!

 

Here are some great pictures from this am:

 

 This is the first one we took.. it would've been great if she didn't show the world her diaper!

And then at school checking out her lunchbox..that her 4 year old friend, Jackson gave her.. (I gave kudos to his sister ..but it was Jack that picked it out.. diligently I might add!!)

 

Teacher said she did "great".. she walked in her walker (pratically ran across the room)

& she ate a pretzel (swallowed it too!) Which as we all know Grace 'tastes' alot of

food, but she doesn't swallow much (unless you count chowder & soups)

Soo they were very proud of her!

 

Hope she knows she's going back tomorrow!!
