Milestone!!

 

 

Grace has started more randomly to drink water from this cup..

she even asks for it..(by signing 'more' or by pointing to it).

She drank 20 ml's yesterday..

and 60+ ml's (2 oz) today.. We are soo proud of her!!

 

And it sorta just happened.. we give her 'free water' via her gtube every few hours..

and I have always given her a little from the syringe into her mouth..

well the last week, she hasn't felt 100% & has wanted more & more from the syringe..

so yesterday I gave her some in this cup.. it comes out a little quicker than a sucking motion

cup.. so we hold it for her..but she's doing awesome with it..

 

Let's hope it's the beginning of something HUGE!!

 

 

 

 

She's not been feeling well in the last 24-48 hours..stayed home from school today

and hopefully will be okay to start back tomorrow..this week is the first week

that she is going all week.. Fridays too!!  Very exciting!!

Walking :)

Check out this video from Grace at her PT session (out of school).. we are soo proud of her.. as she chases me & blows me kisses!!  And she looks sooo TALL :)

 

Grace is also been standing in her walker as well at home..

her pre-school teacher came over the other night & helped us set up the walker..

then stayed for about 20 minutes playing with Grace.

 

Soo cute!!  And today, Tia & Auntie Kim & I were dancing and singing (as Grace

looked at us like we were nuts) while she stood in the walker for 10 minutes!)

 

A little every day..

 

 

 

Grace got her first kiss from a little boy in school this week, Devin..

her little buddy kissed her on the lips for her sharing her snack with him.

Teachers say her face was priceless.

 

It's usually Grace that gives the kisses, so I'm sure she was taken aback a little by it!

Things are going well..

I'm sorry it's been awhile since I've written..

I've written 3 or more times, then tried to add pictures & for some reason blogspot

keeps changing how I can upload the pictures.. so I figured for tonight

I'd just give a quick update..and hopefully figure out the picture thing

in the next few days!

 

 

 

Grace is doing wonderful!

She finally started her extra Speech therapy outside of school this week..

(the snow had kept her from doing it last week).. Shannon is great.. eager & works

well with Grace.  Grace even had some 'sounds' for her!!

 

 

She is still doing PT outside of school as well.

 

In school her reports have been great.  She got 10/10 on her data sheet this week..

'stick out your tongue', say "no", 'up', "clap".. & others!  Her teacher

was very proud of her..so were we!!

 

Grace has been doing some good eating.. trying with her babysitter during the day

after school.. getting to play with her food..and trying new foods at school..

watermelon & mango!

 

 

As Grandpa would say, "She's getting there!"
