Orientation meet & greet for pre-school..

  Playing puzzles with another little boy in her classroom.. he was showing her how to put the puzzle pieces in.

A total of 3 kids in her class (including herself), she is the youngest with the other little girl & boy being 4.  Grace will be using her walker quite a bit at school and get

PT, OT & Speech during school.

 

There is a monthly newsletter that comes home & a new communication log too!

We are really excited.  Talked alot to the teacher and even stood in the

background, while Grace sat with the Teacher's Aide.

She got to play ball too.

 

Her day will consist of songs, books, circle time, rest.. quiet play and snack!

They also go outside at least 10 minutes every day.

She will arrive at 8:30 & be picked up by 11:10.

There's even a walking trail behind the school that they'll be able

to go through.. they want Grace to be able to participate as much as any of the

other children!  Can't wait to see how much she develops & certainly going to be

exhuasted after a day!

p.s. I did tear up a little as I was watching her interact with the little boy..

she is so good with other children.. and I thought.. WOW..she's come soo far!!



Saying Good-bye..

Early Intervention officially ended today..

Grace saw her OT (who's been with us since Jan. '12)

 & as you can see Grace was showing her

some love :)

 

And also said good-bye this week to our PT..

who has been with us about a year..  Grace also had visitors this day from her

new preschool team..and they are excited at all the things she CAN do..

 

We also had a good-bye with our speech therapist.. she was the last to leave

as it was today & Grace was home with the sitter.

 

The early intervention team has been great with us..

and really helped to get Grace where she is today!!

Thank you to them!!

 

 

 

I was home today in time to give our sitter, Ally.. a hug & a little tear

fell down my cheek..she has been babysitting Grace all summer long.

Walks to the park, playing in the backyard on the swing, sitting on the porch,

playing catch in the living room..even sitting outside on a blanket having a 'picnic'..

Ally has been a great babysitter.. and I was sad to say 'good-bye'.. she is

off to college on Sunday as a freshman!

I wish her the best of luck!! And we will miss her..

 

A new chapter is happening for Grace tomorrow...

Mini Vacation to NY

Went on a mini vacation to Niagara Falls, NY to visit Nonni!

It was 'ok'.. Grace's top molars are coming in & honestly, this is

the first time that her teeth are bothering her soo much..

poor little love bug was having such a tough time..

and not being in her own crib (she has gone to bed at 8pm the last two nights since being home & slept til 7am..),

she had a tough sleep up in NY..(so did mommy & daddy!)

Grace went to her 3rd well check visit today..

25 lbs. 9.5oz  34 1/4" long..

Two weeks from today & she'll be in pre-school..

the real fun shall begin!!

Building things...

Things are being built..

 

 Auntie Dalila gave Grace this princess

coup for her birthday..and Dada just finished putting it together.. we'll take

one with the wheels on it too..

Darling!

 

An indoor coup, an indoor slide & a little picnic table..

with some amazon gift cards we are going to get a red wagon (for our walks)

& then it'll be time to go through the baby toys!!

(that'll take a few days!)

 

 

Getting ready for a short week.. as we are leaving on Thursday to

visit Nonni in NY!

When we get back it'll be 2 weeks away from SCHOOL!!!

For my baby Maxwell..

 

We vistied you today.. we hope you caught the

balloon Grace threw up in the sky for you..

we watched it fly, fly, far away until we couldn't see it anymore!

 

YOU are always in our hearts!

No one will ever be able to comfort our hearts, but knowing

that you'll always be our & Grace's guardian angel..eases the pain a little.

Love you little guy!

I wish I could hold you .. & hear your giggle with

Grace (especially at 2 a.m.).. I know she's talking to someone

in her room.. I'm glad you're there with her!!

Happy 3rd Birthday, lovebug(s)!!!!

Has it been 3 years already??

Wow... Happy Birthday to the best little girl in the world.

my little lovebug & her heavenly brother!!

 

Yesterday was Grace's birthday party.. even though it rained & our

house is small.. Grace was surrounded by love!

19 adults & 9 children!

Graduated from Toddler Class...

Grace's last day of toddler class was yesterday, Thursday..

here she was on day 1 (in April)

 



and on Thursday.. I don't know she looks a little older in the 2nd picture..

SAME BEAUTIFUL SMILE though!! :)

She absolutely LOVED being at toddler class..

she did soo well.. independently sitting at circle time, learning to share with

friends, 'fist pumps' & high fives..

a nice group of kids!!

 

Onward & upward for Miss Grace..

she turns 3 on Sunday..her party is tomorrow.. I won't spoil

it so you'll have to come back tomorrow & Sunday..and see what her

birthday outfit will be!!  A very special 'auntie' is helping bring it altogether!

We have 9 kids coming.. 1 from toddler class, the new neighbors children, and Grace's cousins, & her close friends will be here!

 

I'll be sure to grab some photo moments!!
