My Silly Girl..

It's been a long week..

every other week is a busy one for me with my

night meetings..soo sorry blog has taken a small backseat!

 

 

Grace is doing Wonderful! She sits up soo good by herself

with PT.. with us, she does as well in her princess chair, and with the bumbo

behind her.  Today, even with her PT, she crawled a little bit to a toy!

 

  Grace's biggest milestone this week..is we've been giving her her sippy cup all day & she's doing GREAT with it.  She swallows, and then looks at me with this funny grin as if to say "hmm..that water tasted good".  Look at the way she holds it.. awesome!!

She is doing sooo well.. a little itchy belly around the gtube

once in awhile..but she scratches it! We try to keep her hands off it!

 

She's playful..she's doing great in her walker!  Still motivated!

 

We've had some cold snow days, so it's housebound we've been.

 

 

Gary & I are going to start looking at preschool programs

in February!   Wow.. it seems like just yesterday she was coming home!

Reminders..

Been looking at pictures of Grace from year's past..

she's come a long way, baby!!

 

Grace had her last testing for early intervention this week

and they were impressed on how big she's gotten, how curly her hair

has gotten, and how well she did some things vs. previous year.

For example:  they put a toy car under a cup (& I think part of me thought they thought she wasn't going to figure it out)..now come on.. not only did she pick up the

cup a few times and throw the car away :) she also took the cup & put it to her mouth as if drinking from it.  Then the other example, they gave her some cheerios & wasn't

sure that she would put to her mouth & she did..

Anyway, in February we start meetings and reviewing Pre-school options

so when she turns 3 she will start Pre-school.

Definitely a big step for her, and US!

 

In April, we'll put her in a toddler class at our EI place for 1x/week..

get her acclamated a bit with being in a classroom.

She loves other kids & has the social part down...the other stuff will come!

It's been a long road away from the machines & 02 she came home on..

but boy isn't she still soo cute!!?

 

We think she's getting her 2 year molars in..

I have 'bruise bites' on my arms to prove it!

Milestone Monday!

Anyone know WHO this big girl is sitting up by herself

on this stool..during PT today???

I'm soo proud of her! 

(she's got some strong stomach muscles!!)

Back to reality this week, with PT twice & OT 1x.

Milestones & More...

Sorry..I realize it's been a week! (or more!)

Lots happening over here..

 

Grace has gotten her new gait trainor..a pretty wild raspberry color..

it's a little too big for her, but with some manuevering by her PT,

she was able to walk in it for a few minutes.

We'll use the other one in the meantime.. until she grows another inch to 2.

 

  here it is!

 & here she is walking in it yesterday!  As you can see there is no bar in front (PT flipped it backwards)..so she doesn't have anywhere to rest her head or hands.. might be a good thing!

Think we'll wait til she grows a little more!

We've been playing with my iphone, taking SELFIES..

Grace loves having mama put chapstick on her lips,

today i tried for some color!

 

 

Grace's weight is 22 lbs. 14 oz as of this past Monday.

Big girl!!

 

 

It's been very cold here.. but there's a big 50's warm up coming this weekend!

Crazy New England weather!

So, Grace & I have stayed in all week..

especially since Daddy has had the main car..

his car needs a new battery (will get done next week).

 

Grace's milestone this week is that she is walking really well in

the living room, on the carpet..from one end to the other.

And... I don't know if you all would consider this a milestone,

but we sure do.. Grace, when asked by us, will

give her 'baby doll' a kiss!

It is the cutest thing!!

 

 

She saw her physiatrist this week, and he was pleased with her

progress with standing up & bearing weight thru her legs.

Of course, he loves that she reaches for all his paperwork & throws it!
